Plurals & Possessiveness

Plurals are the form of words that are used to denote more than one.

Possesivness in medical transcription pertains to cases that indicate possession, ownership, origin, etc.

Rule 1: Abbreviations

Use 's to form the plural of lowercase abbreviations, but no apostrophe following all-capital abbreviations.

To form the plural of brief forms, add s without an apostrophe.
